Tips: How to prep your skin for your Appointment
✨ Brides ✨
Hydrate. Prior to your big day, you want to make sure you are drinking plenty of water and hydrating and nourishing foods to keep that wedding glow. Additionally, any treatments that you have done should be no less than 1 month prior to your wedding date.
Treatments. Facials, extractions, scrubs, pore cleaners, and or any treatments can cause scarring, redness, or other adverse reactions to your skin. Please allow your skin to heal 3 weeks to a month, if not more depending on the treatment, before the big day.
Exfoliate. You really want to exfoliate your face leading up to your big day. Moisturizing treatments and masks are excellent ways to keep the skin supple, smooth, and hydrated. These can be done pretty much all the time, especially the day of your wedding day; I especially recommend the day of.
You will be wearing makeup all day, so your skin needs all the moisture it can get. My favorite daily exfoliator is by Dermalogica. See below.
Rest. Please get some rest. You want to wake up looking and feeling rested and relaxed.
For all clients
Please be gentle with your skin (your face particularly). You want moisture for your skin more than anything. Drinking water, eating fruits and veggies will only benefit your skin and your health.
Use moisture masks and moisturizing treatments to keep your skin luminous, smooth, and soft.
My current favorite mask is the Neutrogena Hydro Boost mask
(see picture below). This mask is sooo moisturizing and your skin will thank you for it. If you feel your face has been dry, try out this mask and thank me later.
Before your appointment, come prepared with a clean face with no makeup residue. As long as I have a fresh clean canvas, the quicker the skincare and makeup application. All clients will be well prepped before any makeup application.
